Château St Robert 2016

This wine has a brilliant, intense colour with ruby reflections and develops the characteristic scents of a Graves red with hints of vanilla and black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberries, morello cherries). The palate is particularly velvety and intense with a beautiful presence of black fruits on slightly spicy aromas, all wrapped in silky and melted tannins. Nice balance for this promising and charming wine.

A great vintage

"The year 2016 for the Graves red appellation is a very nice year not to be missed".

Vintage 2016

Following a particularly mild and wet winter and a cool spring, and even if the heavy rain in May and June brought a pressure of mildew, the summer conditions were right for a great vintage. Flowering was late but the dry weather that followed in the summer allowed the berries to ripen well.

Brilliant, intense colour with ruby reflections.

Expressive nose of vanilla on notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberries, morello cherries).

The palate is particularly velvety and intense with a beautiful presence of black fruits on slightly spicy aromas, all coated with silky and melted tannins.

Le Château Saint Robert

Château Saint-Robert is located in Pujols-sur-Ciron, 45km from Bordeaux. The Ciron, which flows a few kilometres from the property, favours the formation of morning mists in autumn. The estate is close to the prestigious Crus Classés de Barsac (Château Climens and Château Coutet), and not far from the Grands Crus of Pessac Léognan.
